First Aid Badge Requirements

1. Explain the arrangements of our body parts as well as their functions.

2. Able to understand the location of the nerves, veins, arteries and how to stop bleeding.

3. Demonstrate how to recover a person from shock including electric shocks.

4. Learn and tested on the uses of a triangular bandage. You must be able to perform all types of bandages.

5. Demonstrate ways to handle fractures and the precautions so as to not cause seious injuries.

6. Perform CPR/EAR and Holger Nielsen

7. Demonstrate how to handle an emergency situation including emergency reporting to the ambulance crew, police, etc.

As the First Aid Badge and First Aid knowledge is a requirement for both the Green Cord (Rambu Pengakap Muda) and Lima Lencana and King Scout tests, it is also advisable to obtain a full course from certified First Aiders (St. John's Ambulance and Red Crescent). More knowledge to first aid is required besides the ones noted above.
