Information on JOTA/JOTI 2006 in Penang

In Penang, the JOTA-JOTI is considered the most prominent Scouting and Guiding event as it allows both scouts and guides to exchange knowledge and improve their skills besides creating a challenge in different activities in Scouting and Guiding. The JOTA is a 3 day-2 night camp held annually at Camp Coronation.

JOTA-JOTI in Penang is organized by a special committee set up by the Penang State Scout Council. It is held annually without fail and it has became a tradition for Penang Scouts to participate in this Holy Grail of Scouting events in the state, which takes great pride in its Scouting heritage.

This year's JOTA-JOTI will be held from the 14th October 2005 till 16th October 2005 at Coronation Camp. As usual, it will be a 3 days 2 nights camp. Participants (Scouts and Guides) will be divided into patrols of 60 Scouts per subcamp. There will be 20 cabaran stations for Scouts/Guides to indulge themselves into the fun and thrill of JOTA-JOTI. To enliven the spirit of competition, there will be 9 competitions held.
